Stage 1 — Baby
Baby Classes for 6 to 12 Months
Sensory Wonder & Deep Bonding
The first year is the most rapid period of brain growth your child will ever experience. Our baby classes make the most of it gently — through light and colour, music and rhythm, touch and movement, all shared with you at your baby's side.

Once a week, one hour
A single weekly session designed to slot into family life, with over 20 short activities packed into every class.
Maximum 6 children
Small groups mean your child is genuinely seen every week, and your educator can adapt to them individually.
You learn alongside
One parent or guardian joins every class — precious bonding time, and the best way to learn the techniques yourself.
IQ and EQ together
Cognitive work always sits beside “Education of the Heart”, so kindness and confidence grow with capability.
The stage at a glance
What 6–12 months looks like at Shichida UK
Babyhood is a window of extraordinary sensory learning. Each session introduces calm, playful activities that invite your baby to look, listen, reach and respond — laying down the neural pathways that later learning is built on. Just as importantly, you learn how to read your baby's cues and turn everyday moments at home into gentle stimulation.
Best for
Parents who want the earliest possible start, and who value warm, unhurried bonding time as much as cognitive development.
Your child will develop
- Early sensory awareness
- Visual attention and tracking
- Listening and sound discrimination
- Rhythm and movement
- Early memory stimulation
- Foundations of communication
- Secure parent–child bonding
Inside a session
How the hour unfolds
Sensory and visual play
High-contrast cards, colour, light and texture invite your baby to focus, track and reach — building visual attention long before words arrive.
Music, rhythm and movement
Songs, gentle rocking and rhythm games support balance, coordination and the auditory processing that underpins later speech.
Language immersion
Your baby hears a rich, steady stream of vocabulary through picture play and storytelling, absorbing sounds and patterns effortlessly.
Education of the Heart
Every class begins and ends with connection — eye contact, touch and praise — so your baby learns that discovering the world feels safe and joyful.

And then at home
You will leave each class with two or three simple things to try during the week — a way to hold a card, a song to sing at nappy changes, a game for the pram. Five focused minutes a day matters far more than an hour on a Sunday.

“Leena started reception recently and noticed how much more advanced she is compared to other students her age. Recommendation would be to start as early as possible.”
