Welcome to the Shichida UK Blog

Our very first post. Here is what we plan to share with parents about early cognitive development, and why we decided to start writing in the first place.

Welcome to the Shichida UK Blog

Hello from all of us at Shichida UK

Today we open the doors on something we have wanted to do since our first class: a place to write properly about early childhood development, in plain language, for the parents who trust us with their children.

In the classroom we only have sixty minutes a week together. There is never quite enough time to explain why we move through activities so quickly, why we ask you to sit beside your child rather than watch from the side, or what is actually happening in a two-year-old brain during a flashcard sequence. This blog is where those conversations can continue.

What we will be writing about

  • The science behind the Shichida Method, translated out of the research papers and into everyday language.
  • Practical ideas you can use at home, this evening, with things you already own.
  • Honest answers to the questions parents ask us most often in the corridor after class.
  • News from our centre, our instructors and our growing community of families.

A note on how we write

We will never promise you a genius. What we will do is explain, carefully and honestly, what the first six years make possible and how a warm, well-structured hour each week can help your child make the most of them.

Curious to see it for yourself? The easiest way to understand a Shichida class is to sit in one. Message our team on WhatsApp to book a trial class and we will help you choose the right stage for your child.
